Film Appreciation Wednesday, January 15 | 2:00 pm Featuring..."A Patch of Blue" Join us for our next movie in our Film Appreciation series. This time we are watching "A Patch of Blue". This film, is directed by Guy Green and stars Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Hartman, Shelley Winters, Wallace Ford, and Ivan Dixon. Released in 1965 this film is powerful and sensitive portrayal of complex human relationships tackling the themes of prejudice, abuse, and the search for hope amidst a dark life. Director Guy Green's delicate and thoughtful approach and Jerry Goldsmith's memorable music score make a Patch of Blue a poignant and moving film that resonates to this day.

Speaker Series Strategies for Staying in the Game Thursday, January 16 | 4:00 pm It's a New Year...let's focus on a New You! Dr. Heather Hinshelwood, Owner & Chief of Medicine at the Fraum Center, and an expert in restorative medicine and proactive wellness, will provide you with valuable insight on maintaining health and longevity in an active lifestyle, including tennis, pickleball, and golf. The talk will address common challenges faced by aging athletes, such as joint issues and muscle loss, and offer practical strategies to prevent injury and enhance performance. Come and hear about the benefits of restorative medicine, chiropractic care, and physical therapy, as well as the importance of recovery techniques and preventative care.
